Settings

Here you can find out how to manage the basic information for your agency.
All the settings explained here can be found in the “Settings” tab of the agency settings.

Language settings

Language settings -
Default language

Here you can specify which language should be selected if the guest accesses the event page with a browser that uses a language not available on guestoo.

 

The following languages are currently available:

  • Deutsch (DE)
  • Deutsch-Du (DE)
  • Englisch (EN)
  • Französisch (FR)
  • Ukrainisch (UK)
  • Italienisch (IT)
  • Spanisch (ES)
  • Russisch (RU)
  • Polnisch (PL)
  • Portugiesisch (PT)
  • Niederländisch (NL)
  • Tschechisch (CZ)
  • Japanisch (JA)
  • Chinesisch (ZH)
  • Türkisch (TR)

Note: If you have only maintained German texts in your events, but set the fallback language to “English” at this point, the interface elements will be displayed in English, but the texts you have maintained will still be displayed in German.

Visible languages in language switcher

Here you can specify which languages should be displayed for your guests to choose from in the language switcher at the bottom of the event page. The setting you make here applies to all of your agency's events.

However, you can overwrite the setting for each event. You can find out how to do this on this page.

In order to use a media gallery for your agency, you need the following feature: Module: Media management

Use media gallery

If you enable this option (=Toggle on green), the manager users of your agency are allowed to access the media in the media gallery.

Allow own images

If you enable this option (=Toggle on green), the manager users of your agency are allowed to upload their own images to use them for events. If you disable this option, only images from the media gallery can be used.

Automatically add uploaded images to gallery

If you enable this option (=Toggle on green), all images that are uploaded for events will automatically be added to the standard gallery.

Use password protection for zip files

If this option is active (= toggle on green), all .zip files that you receive from guestoo (e.g. exports) are encrypted with a password.

This is the default setting that we recommend from a data protection perspective!

Password for exports

Here you will find the password that you need to decrypt the exports that you request from guestoo.

You can of course also easily change the password for decrypting the export files - here's how:

  • Click on "Edit"
  • Enter the desired password
  • Click on "Save"

Note: Please note that if you change your password, you can only use the new password to decrypt exports that you have requested since the password was changed. Old, already downloaded export files can still only be decrypted with the password valid at the time of download.

Allow the guest to delete their data for this agency in the guest dashboard

For data protection reasons, the guest must be able to delete the data you have saved in your agency at any time. This option is available both if the guest has a password-protected account in your agency and if they were only created and invited by you as a guest.

Important: You can deactivate this option, but you should urgently consult a data protection officer or a lawyer about the legal situation and possible consequences before doing so!

 

This is how you can set whether a guest can delete their saved data:

  • Go to the menu item "Agency"
  • Go to the "Settings" tab
  • Scroll to the "Security & data protection" section
  • Click on "Edit"
  • (De-)activate the option "Allow the guest to delete their data for this agency in the guest dashboard"
    • Toggle on green = The guest can delete their data or account
    • Toggle on red = The guest can not delete their data or account
    • Note: If a guest deletes their account, they will automatically be removed from all of your agency's events.
  • Click on "Save"
  • Manager users who have activated the corresponding notifications will receive an email when a guest deletes their data
